Business Sweden has been assigned by the Swedish government to support the EU Global Gateway initiative and improve the conditions for Swedish companies to contribute to the objectives of development assistance and support green and digital transitions in low-and middle-income countries. Our mission is to inform and support companies on why they should, and how they can best engage with Global Gateway.

Together with other Team Sweden partners, Business Sweden is dedicated to:

• Foster positive impacts and promote the economic development and welfare of developing countries
• Gather companies to participate in flagship projects and offer Swedish innovation
• Offer a platform to communicate and offer information, guidance and stay up to date

Business Sweden is bringing together Swedish companies, Team Sweden partners and European stakeholders to identify synergies and collaborative opportunities in light of the Global Gateway.

Who we are

Business Sweden is jointly owned by the Swedish state and the Swedish business sector with a mandate and a mission to help international companies gain access to the Swedish market and help domestic ones utilise it as a platform for expansion. Companies range from start-ups via small- and medium sized businesses to multinational enterprises – with tailor-made services catering to all of these segments.

What we do

Business Sweden is focusing on promoting innovative and sustainable Swedish solutions and mobilizing companies to participate in flagship projects. As such, we aim to ensure that Global Gateway Flagship projects foster positive impacts and promote the economic development and welfare of developing countries. The Business Sweden Global Gateway team works on guiding companies regarding opportunities to participate in Global Gateway Flagships.
